how overpopulated Arizona is.
![[image]](images/uploaded/201909161410215d7f97cd5dc10.jpg)
In this view there is a city of a million people (Tucson and the adjoining towns) along with smaller towns and villages.
When people say the world is "over populated" my thought is that they need to take a road trip and spend some time driving through the Western United States.
You could hide Los Angeles out there and it would take some searching to find it.
The Government owns all that, don't they?

I mean they call it "public" land but they own/control it.
A lot of it is National Forest ... some is BLM land..

some of what is in the photo is Indian Reservation ... but other than the Reservation it is public land .. camping, hunting, backpacking, etc. it's all there to enjoy.
In all my years living in Arizona I was never approached by any "government" person about being on public land.

I used to hunt deer and squirrel around an Aztec peak, above Roosevelt lake and south of Young Az. Don't hunt or camp these days but frequently do day trips in southern AZ. Shooting, you just pull over and have at it. I have never been to a shooting range in Az.

Gvt owned and is usable by the public. You can camp, shoot, hike, whatever you like on it. And hunt on it during the season if you get drawn. But small game hunting is open with no drawing. Rabbits are considered a varmint and can be hunted year round.

something will be paid for with Federal money or State money. There's no such thing, right? It's OUR money.
Right. We pay people to manage OUR property for US citizens

Out west if you own a lot of acres and it is full of elk and deer, you better not shoot one of them as the Gvt owns them, not you. The Gvt land is ours to use as we see fit but we don't own it.
that is most western states, not all of them
