in the forend wood. The .401 in particular. They have a big heavy counter weight under there. It's actually once piece with the bolt. Look it up! I fixed mine and note I have another that has cropped up. I will need to take a dental pick and scratch it into a deep trough and glass it up. Of course I like that kind of stuff, but you probably would not. It can be remedied and a bargain found for the effort. Mashed and broken butt plates, broken toe wood is also a specialty. Fix'em and shoot them.

The magazines are often 1/3 the value of the gun. They can break at the upper rear of the mag. For some reason .351's seem the worst. But their mags are cheaper too.
