We picked up this model 88 in a recent estate sale. We refurbished the barrel and frame with our deluxe Black Chromex to like new. The stock has a lot of scuffs and small dings on it but nothing drastic and nothing to keep the gun from being accurate. Refinishing the stock would be something to do on a rainy or snowy day this winter. The gun was made in 1959 and is in the 81000 serial number range. It is chambered in 308 and is smooth working. The book value is somewhere around $750. I have it priced at $595.

Looks good, possibly accurate to minute of pig? Your opinion counts here, I like the looks of it, am I doing something I would be happy with?

Joe, you know me well. If the gun wasn't right

it wouldn't have been put on here. It would just have been put on the rifle rack over at the gun shop. As always if the gun doesn't work for you and the stock doesn't match the color of your eyes, bring it back.

The Winchester 88 is sold

That is why I ask for your judgement which I find superior to mine, and I know I can trust you
