25 caliber cartridges. None will equal the 257 GNR. The 257 Raptor and the 256 GNR are real close with the 251 and 250 GNR and 250 Banshee all ballistically the same. My personal preference is the 257 Raptor having taken several deer size critters with it and most right at 200 yards or a bit better. A lot of cartridges developed thru the years are close ballistically, like the 30-06, 280 Remington,25-06, the 270, and maybe one or two more but each has it's own special features and each fills a void in the list of cartridges. So we can't say they are all the same just as my list of 25 caliber cartridges can't be listed as all the same and all fill their own void.

It’s a single shot round but the .256 Falcon

On the blown max .30-30 is a favorite. More efficient for the performance than bigger capacity versions, it duplicates a .257 Roberts rifle from a 14” handgun. Ditto the 7mm GNR (my real all round favorite) that mimics the 7x57 rifle.

Low recoil and easy to scrounge components, I’m glad I have both!
