bad shape. The gun was chambered in 38 Special and mechanically it wasn't too bad but sometime at one point the owner had a plating put on it which appeared to be a nickel plating of some sort. Most was worn off but enough was still on it to make it rough to work on. It was in really nasty condition. The customer wanted it converted to 44 Special. We re-marked the logos, horse and all and used the original type letters on it. Here it is in "before" condition.

It took a lot of work getting it back in shape plus converting the barrel and cylinder to 44 Special. We found an old vintage pair of black walnut grips that we fit to the gripframe and managed to come up with enough original internals to get the old girl back to functioning. We did our Black Chromex finish to it and it came out pretty decent and ready for another 100 years. Here it is in "After" condition.

By the way the gun belongs to good friend Larry Hurth
