Alcorn's 14-hour adventure...
It was a blessing to help out Alcorn Russell via collecting him for a ride to HHC. Due to serious family health issues his ride could not make it. It was not far out of the way and Roman and I made room for him. I indeed enjoyed the fellowship and we had some good laughs. I hope we didn't wear him out, that's a long time to spend with guys captive in a truck traveling. I'm certain I drove him nuts with my laissez faire attitude on scheduling. With so many others involved I go with the flow, it keeps my hair intact. We made it. I really enjoyed his questions to keep conversation interesting. We both like motorcycles and have a common current favorite or close.
Also he proposed if you could only have one of your handguns... a very difficult question. So many variables and my answer is usually not my favored one. But we both came to a close similar model. He likes .45 Colt better and I'm a .44 man. A good strong single action, details and barrel length up for discussion. I started with a 7.5" SBH and have a custom one I modified that is not my favorite gun but would certainly do. It did for me 45 years ago so why not now. We both loved Gary's new Half-breed, caliber selection is up to you.
While I really slobber over a "Half-Breed of my own, this is my answer to Alcorn, that I actually own. Not that I like the proposition.
It is a common mid-80's SBH but reblued by Mag-na-port and a stls. BH gripframe added. I think those are Bear Paw burl grips as well. Long sory...
However, my phone is out at the moment and I wanted to get a message to Alcorn. I think I have your Yeti water bottle. It's Alcorn's safety blanket, you never see it out of his reach. If it IS your Yeti I will send it immediately in the mail today. Email me your address to ship it. "waterboyark@yahoo.com". I am feverishly working on my phone to get it to come back on to receive/send messages.
