Not a soul bothered me or asked for money (begging). I had an EPA training session there for state license programs.
That is the church in the background you are standing in front. The other outbuildings had low ceilings. I think they said folks were not as tall back then!?
Our group had a large meeting and meal in one of their buildings on site. That was pretty cool. It looked to be built in the 1970's though.
Awesome Jim ! We were there about 4 weeks ago

had booths at a custom gun show in Texas we planned each time after the show to stop by the Alamo. Unfortunately there always seemed to be something to make us change our plans. Either running late to head home or just being worn out after a 3 day show. Hopefully before I croak I can get to see the Alamo. It's the American thing.
We were going to Guatemala in September

but that got cancelled. It was good being with my brother and sisters for a few days.
I told my brother that I had packed a shotgun and several boxes of shells, a couple handguns and 50 rounds for each, and an extra pair of underwear. He walked into my bedroom, looked around and said, "Oh! You weren't kidding!"
Was all that ammo and guns for the Alamo?

I don't think there are any Mexicans left. Davy and the boys wiped most of them out.
I think General Patton was Jim's hero
