375 GNR and the 375 GNR#2. Here are the 2 with the 375 GNR on the left.

The 375 GNR was developed on the 445 Super Mag case necked up. Velocities run in the 2000 fps up to 2300 fps according to the bullet used. We have chambered several stretch frame revolvers in the 375 GNR, and we have also chambered quite a few Contenders and G-2s in this cartridge.

The 375 GNR#2 was developed using the 45-70 case necked down to 375. Velocities run from 2100 up to 2400 fps according to the bullet used. It was developed for the Encore and we have also chambered a few Marlin 1895s in it. Pressures are a bit high for the Contender. The G-2 would be OK with it as long as the person loading it watches for pressure signs.

The 375GNR is a Killer

I had the honor of being invited by Gary to the Handgun Hunters Challenge at the YO Ranch in 2007. I went down there with 50 rounds (217g hard cast) and my 375GNR Wyoming Hunter. I came back with 48 rounds and 2 Sika deer. I love that round! I also came back with some great memories and I met some outstanding people. A real highlight of my hunting life. Thank you again, Bwana, for a great gun, a great cartridge and a great experience!

that was about that time and was by invitation only and was promoted by all the gun magazines. It was at the Y.O. Ranch in Texas and ran thru around 2000 or so and most of the pics on here were 2002 thru 2008. Each hunter paid around $1000 to hunt and for that they got one buck and 2 does of whatever species they let us hunt that year, mostly exotic deer or sheep but once in a while it was whitetail deer. All of the meat went to the needy at Christmas. It was a rare privilege for a handgun hunter to be invited. I also feel privileged that most of the guns in these pics came out of our shop.

Taz Ridley, the head honcho of the hunt which was a charity hunt, was ticked off as the only people that were coming to the hunt were a bunch of old fat farts who got invited every year by another old fart that came to it for the free booze and to play poker every night. Kase and I donated a gun each as did some of the other gun makers and these old goats never bid on anything or bought any of the items on display. I told Taz I would help get some new blood in the hunt and invited about half the guys on here. We filled that hunt up with 55 hunters that year and at least that many for the next 4 or 5 years and came up with a lot of meat for the needy at Christmas and a lot of money for the same cause. I don't remember who all was invited but most are still on here years later. Here are some of the misfits at the hunt.
