John got one of the highest grade guns as a gift from his wife, Mrs. Dot. Fully engraved, octagon barrel, and real ivory grips in .44 Special. Since I'm one of the 100 or so that also have one, I had to save the photo for my collection too. These revolvers are all Reeder guns, not modified production Rugers. Gary had Pinetree castings do the frames and he had other parts made. Overall they did mimic an OM medium frame Ruger but in stainless. The parts are hand fitted and won't interchange. I think that's the correct story.
