Quite the opposite it’s brother in .25 ACP, the rimfire version is quite finicky. I’d not carry it afield just yet. The hi-velocity 39 gr. Winchesters didn’t quite have enough to run 100%. So I figured CCI Stingers would do the trick. They are fantastic revolver loads for the LR. But a no go in the cute little Beretta. Standard velocity 40 gr. Aquila didn’t have enough to push the slide far enough to pick up another round, although it ejected fine.

I have not run across those 60 gr.,Aquila Sniper loads. With the short case and heavy bullet, long duration recoil pulse, they should be sweet. IF they hit point on. I’ll try CCI Mini-mags next.

The CCI Stingers were introduced in the mid 1970’s. I remember the adds of exploding pop cans. I ran to the store to plink down $2.65 of lawn mowing money for a box of 50 in the nifty sliding top blue transparent box. A premium over the normal $0.65/50 Hi-velocity HP’s. CCI had me!

I think they are making fun of us hillbilly’s. We know what “Stingers” are even if we pronounce them “Stang-ers” on occasion.

Maybe some of the 45gr suppressor cartridges will do it

Maybe some hotter 25acp like BufBore? The chances of

shooting only once is small I think. The jetfire has 9. I could never get a micro 22 to function reliably.

My .25 version always ran 100% period

I guess that validates John Browning’s intent. Build the smallest functional round based upon the small pistol primer. It’s worked for a long time. Other report reliable function with the Beretta rimfire. Maybe it’s just not broken in too. It has no “extractor” which is odd, but a characteristic of the tilt barrel. It does have an ejector on the frame but the case has to come out far enough and with enough force to pinwheel clear. That’s what is giving me issues. The little gun is quite accurate!
