Serious Questions about entry-level 1911?

Ok, I have an interest in getting what I would call an entry-level 1911, maybe even mil-spec level model. I do have higher-end 1911s, so I am not unfamiliar with the platform. But if I were to say, want a 1911 "truck gun," what would you pick and why? Tisas? Rock Island? Bul? Springfield Armory? Girsan? IMO, the 1911 market has been flooded with decent foreign imports, but the prices are getting higher for these entry-level pieces. I guess that's demand, or tariffs. At any rate, what to avoid? The Turkish guns appear to be good, I' am not so sure about the Philippine models. IMO RIA is over-priced, but that's just me. I'd put my budget at <$600. So, tell me what you think and why? This is intended to be a truck-range-beater-gun, not anyhing more. Am curious to hear your opinons. TIA.

I have been using a Filipino 1911 for 9 years.

It's listed as ATI (American Tactical Imports) but is made by S.A.M. Inc. (Shooters Arms Manufacturing - https://sam.shootersarms.com.ph/)

I have run it hard and long, heavy loads and light loads. It's my truck gun .. some days my Carry gun ... it's always at hand. And it has worked well. All I have done to it was shorten the hammer spur just a wee bit so it don't bite the web of my hand.

Dot.Very useful powder for several calibers.

Long shot will beat it at lower pressures.

Ive been seeing those running at $299

Pressure wise, that’s not a super hot load.

I bet it’s very safe. I found cast bullets, generally, run 100-150 fps faster than jacketed bullets at the same given pressures. Not in that platform, but a specialized prepped .45 Super Glock 21, I shot that same projectile, with an oversized gas check added, at 1400 fps!

The 1911 platform overloaded will first blow a case head. Few .45’s have full support or ramped chambers. If not that, in fully supported chambers, the barrel link will be the next to go. I’ve been in close proximity to the first, and the cause of the latter. No real damage to either shooter or firearm. Thank the Lord.

I prefer 850 to 875 fps range

I've overheard several positive conversations about the Tisas while at my local range. I've not handled or shot one yet. A couple of the guys were talking about it having tool steel internals instead of MIM. I don't know if that is true. I would like to learn if that is an accurate statement or not.

Friend of mine likes his Tisas 1911 9mm

The guns really look good. I have always liked Springfield guns. Several models I think are very well made and optioned fantastic. I think Springfield is in a higher class than the other "Turkish" guns you mentioned but maybe that is just the old American company name attached. They look more refined to me.

I gave my son a Springfield GI Govt. model for his 16th birthday. Of all the presents I given him, I think he was mature enough to truly understand the privilege and responsibility I had placed upon him. Plus the enduring longevity of that very special gift. A forever gun.

I think if you shop the used gun market you can get even more value for your budget. Most folks don't reload and cannot afford the $0.75-$1 a shot for .45 ACP. Like new, Never shot uphill or into the wind...

I was looking for a plain Jane 1911 just about a year ago.
I wound up buying the Tisas Duty Enhanced (the extras for the cost made it worth spending the little bit of extra money.)

Been shooting it for a year now. It has been reliable and accurate from day one.

(The only thing I don't love is the sights U notch rear with a fiber optic front)
