Last December, my truck was parked in front of the doctors parking lot and was broken into. They used a puller to break in through the door lock, the rear bench seat lock and finally the console lock where my Taurus Pro Millennium in 45 ACP resided. Now that and tools plus truck damage was 2k. I'm looking for a replacement 45 ACP throw around or truck gun in a single stack.

What say you misfits? What would you choose? I've looked at Kahr's but looking for cheap truck gun.

Take care

Sorry about the theft, that sucks. I'd probably go

Glock wasn't an option because

I would be severely pissed if they got my Glock. I'm thinking cheap, don't care if tornado, famine, fire etc takes it. I used the Taurus to dispatch varmints and put down livestock for years. After use it was thrown into the console and occasionally worn.

Take care

For a beater /truck gun I cared nothing about a

Hi-Point then. After then mag is empty, the sheer weight on the gun being thrown will act like a.230gr RN hit them.

you and I were on the same wave length

Is accurate. I owned one and shot it like a truck gun and was as accurate as the day it was new. I have shot three of their 45s and they were all accurate. A very cheap sleeper gun (in my experience).

if you really want cheap, get a Hi Point. They usually

work, and if all fails you can trow it at them. It is heavy enough to hurt them.

Don't know that you can get there from where you are at...

an old 1911. I was in a dentist office at the time. I know this doesn't help, but my Silverado pickup had the driver side window broken out. They took my CD tapes (I enjoy early rock and roll and country...that hurt) and my 1911 locked in my console. I went home and had 2 or 3 glasses of wine.....then went to the safe and took another 1911 to put in my truck. I just figured that is the cost of "doing business". I sent my last "ratty" handgun to Gary to make presentable. I wouldn't want to depend on a "cheap", ugly gun in the event I needed it. Just MHO.

Love my RIA
