I was kinda surprised it wasn't through and through at that distance too. But when looking at the shoulder, the whole joint was destroyed, which is where the majority of the energy was absorbed. That it had enough energy to continue through the rest of the animal is still quite impressive. The DGX is supposed to have rapid initial expansion but limited continued expansion so it worked as advertised even going through a shoulder. I suspect the DGS bullet would have been in and out and still be going if I had let it loose.
Would be interesting to apply these rounds to Jim's ballistics pendulum!
