one on that "ugly" gun is also one of ours. We had it on our Tombstone Classic at the big Winter Range cowboy shoot in Phoenix. Ruger had a booth a few down from us but kept coming up and playing with the Tombstone Classic with the birdshead gripframe and the Doc Holliday with the rounded gripframe. At the end of the weekend they asked us if they could take a couple of our guns back with them. They took 2 of our Tombstone Classics and about a month later they sent them back thanking us and saying they would be building a birdshead gripframe using our Tombstone as a pattern.

They also used our Long Rider which became their Bisley Vaquero, and they used our Alaskan Survivor on the Super Redhawk and actually kept the Alaskan name. They used our Redhawk based Alaskan Survivor as the basis of their recently released snubbie Redhawk. And our Night Hawk was the pattern for their 4" Redhawk of a few years back. And my guys mentioned several others that were borrowed from us by other companies. But I consider it a compliment when a large well respected company like Ruger uses one of our ideas. The Ruger folks are good folks.

So I guess now I have to ask, which gripframe of ours?
