I modded my throats in my chambers to 0.402"

on my OM .38-40 conversion. I didn't want to have to mess with things too much so that simplifies things for me. I typically size my cast bullets 0.401", which I shoot a bunch of them. The Herter's .401 seems to shoot them well also.

Lots of 10mm size late guns run really tight throats for those 0.399" bullets I guess. I'll have to re-check my 10mm GP100 conversion, it's been too long. Then again my 1920's .38-40 New Service had a real tight throat and then a loose bored barrel! I fixed that too and it fell together.
