The bullets like 8mm are designed, well suited for specialty handguns, close to the 9.3x57 and 8x57 rifle factory ammo speeds. I’d hate for someone to pick a bullet made for a 3500 fps Weatherby and get pissy when it acted like a FMJ at 1800 fps impact velocity on a Whitetail, blaming or condemning Gary’s cool cartridges. But hopefully if a guy can pick, make, shoot, a custom rig like that he’s smart enough to know that anyway.
