Jim, I bought that same rifle in a pawn shop for my son when he was 6 or 8.
I cut 4" off the stock and added a 4 power
Tasco to it. He carried it all over Texas and shot a ton of deer and turkey with it,
using my hand loads and various factory loads. He is 40 now. Sometime along the way I put the
cutoff stock pc. back on with screws and epoxy. He still uses it occasionally.
