At different distances, no flipping way. An aperture sight helps the situation in a couple ways. As you peer through the circle rear, the eye naturally tends to center the picture. It’s a natural reaction and tendency, automatic. This is akin to bedding the bead in the rear sight, a more conscious effort. The front in a peep sighting arrangement is the biggest conscious effort to position relating to the target. Not only is it faster but for vision hampered a great help. Optics that correct are the only thing better. There is an optical law that crisps up an image when you peer through a hole also! Don’t know why. I really like ghost ring type, a much larger aperture, that affords more field of view and plenty of precision for me out to at least 200 yds.
