I had to change the bolt spring after about 75 shots. It began to kick out from under the bolt lock and open the action. Been there before. A $3 spring fixed that.

The scope and mounts take a terrible beating too. Not to mention your body. It kicks straight back and I have to wrap my off hand thumb behind my other supporting hand to keep it away from that evil trigger guard. Not certain I haven't fractured a knuckle or two.

About 10-12 in a day, broken up in 3 shot groups, split by shooting something more civil, (like a .256 Falcon) is how I manage without flinching horrifically. The Pachmayr grip I love so much places your hand closer to the guard, but I can hardly reach the trigger without compromising my grip with the factory item. It takes some consideration to overcome.

Puffy claimed over 2000 fps with the .416 GNR and IMR3031 but I do not need to go there. I backed off using H322 to 1850 fps and called it good. With the .440 GNR Magnum I was good with the 300 gr. to about 2300 fps. My .378 GNR in the FA2008 5 lb. gun at the same level makes me cry and almost whacks me in the face, even with the good brake. A revolver grip on a single shot with 3500 ft. lbs energy is not really a stellar idea. IMO.
