16 gauge barrels over a 9.3 X 74 (about the same power as the 375 H&H). I had a Caribou hunt up on the Arctic Circle planned and that being Canada no handguns were allowed so I decided to use my drilling. I bought a Krieghoff 22 Magnum insert that was about 12" long and put it in the right hand 16 gauge barrel. Surprisingly it was very accurate, even with the crude sights the Drillings have. On my hunt I took my 2 Caribou with the 9.3 X 74, an Arctic fox with the 22 Magnum and some Ptarmigan with the left hand 16 gauge barrel. So I swear by the inserts at least the better grade inserts. I think the Keieghoff insert cost me around $400 if I remember right so it obviously was one of the higher grade inserts. It used very minute screws and springs to sight it in, but once sighted in it was dead on.
