Being South America you'd figure a .44-40 (although .32,.38 WCF were also possible options) and I know they made a clone even back then (?) the El Tigre. Perhaps the granddaddy of Rossi? I know lots of 92's were converted to .357 and rightfully so. (how did they fix the bolt faces?) The revolver in the other picture is a M27. Makes me wonder about the Trapper Carbine. Alexander "Sasha" Siemel learned his trade from locals and simply refined the technique to suit his needs. Sort of a bounty hunter for problem cats. He lived from 1890 to 1970. What an interesting man, what stories must have passed with him.
That first picture looks like a Mountain Lion but may be only a southern cousin. From the small head I'd speculate a female.
