I don't know if it was that actual service gun but it was one he had and they engraved and gold plated it. A truly mythical piece. This was a time when the .357 was the most powerful handgun in the world! The promotion of it was widely known and he may have been given a gun by S&W.

*You know we don't consider it often but someone had to hum and drag a WHOLE lot of crap out into the jungle to photograph that in the 1920-30's. No phone cameras or Istamatics!
