have done several conversions of the Vaquero to a Blackhawk type revolver. It is a lot of work, welding up the top strap, then milling out the T shape cut out for the rear sight, then fitting a new sight, plus changing the front sight to a Blackhawk style front sight, then rebluing the entire thing. I think the last one we did was around $850 to a grand for the conversion and the guy could have bought a new Blackhawk and had a couple hundred bucks left over.

Then the conversion in steps..the high screw you see was changed to a small flathead screw after these pics were taken.
