It requires no greasy or smoky lubrication so shoots cleaner. It can take the rifling better than a raw cast bullet sometimes too. You can also bump up the size a couple thousandths too for special applications. It’s not really faster or easier to manufacture, just different. Some unique attributes and works very well in gas operated semi-auto applications. Affords higher effective velocity in most instances with no leading.

Great way to shoot cast from your AR.
