When I was a kid I'd walk with my Dad in the woods and take

my BB gun, still have the gun. I remember shooting frogs along one stream, there was an undercut bank and I was leaning out over the water and my Dad was leaning back holding onto my belt. I shot the frog and it hit right on the back of his neck. He leaped out, landed in the water and didn't move all 4 legs stretched out, must have been reflexes from the broken neck. Well over 50 years ago and I can still picture it. He did some trout fishing vacations at Maine camps and took me with him too. One time, I caught the biggest fish in camp all week, I remember some of the adults looking at me like they were pissed. When I got the fish on the line, all of a sudden my Dad had his arms around me and was trying to hold the rod. I said "it's OK Dad, I got this" and landed the fish. Decent size salmon right below a small dam. Thanks for the memories.
