My family's been dairy farming since the 1860's (6 generations) and sadly last year made the awful decision to shut down and switch to beef. I won't go into too much detail but the milk is mostly controlled by one huge company. They are pushing out most small farms (under 400 cows). Now there using this virus crap and having some stores limit how much milk people can buy to drive prices up in stores and at the same time telling the farmers since the schools are out there's a surplus so they don't need the milk. So basically just another way to screw the farmers, milk haulers, consumers and line the big wigs at the co-op's pockets. When we made the decision to stop we figured it up and the price we were getting per 100 weight was about what gramp was making in 1975.As you can tell I'm still kinda upset about the dairy business.Sadly if people don't wake up there won't be any family farms left. I think this virus is a wake up to all Americans we need to have our food, medicine and other things made here like President Trump has been trying to do .
