If you were interested in buying a 30-30 levergun, would you buy new or look for a used one? I am not talking about a safe queen, but something you would use hard. Of the new offerings, what are your experiences? Winchester, Marlin, Henry, Mossberg, etc. What got me thinking about this was Winchester's ads about their new guns being more similar to pre-64 models and the fact that my experience with the Japanese built firearms has been good. Are new leverguns better than the old ones?
