I have this ongoing argument with myself about a scenario that opens up before me while in a public place:
A fire fight occurs off to my left between the local police and 2 perps at a distance of about 100 ft. between me and my parked car. They have my full attention, I'm armed, but concealed with a permit. That's all the information you get, sorry.
Do I:
A. Close the distance undetected, find cover, draw my weapon and engage the bad guys?
OR
B. Run the opposite direction, find cover and not interfere?
OR
C. Wax courageous, charge headlong into the fray with gun(s) blazing hoping to later be declared a hero and live out my days in glory?
OR
D. Shit myself, flop over in the fetal position, muttering quietly and incoherently as I fear for my life?
P.S: My first concern in this situation has always been that I do nothing and get shot 17 times by the police, really.
