They are importing a whole bunch of foreign police Beretta .380's and .32s right now. I forget the model number but they used to call them Cheetah. they are medium size autos with dual stack mags, 12-shot. If you have anyone recoil sensitive you sure could do worse. They are blow back action, not locked breach so much less complicated mechanisms. I was looking at a .32 ACP for myself. A fine little .30 cal. gun to play with.

The other is Taurus. They make a pocket .380 that is good as any. It's usually noticeable less than Ruger if price is a sensitive issue. I've seen several from $125-150 in gun stores. I personally like the little Kel-Tec .32 and .380 also. Inexpensive, American made, simple, and they work.

Just some alternatives to the "me too" Ruger LCP.
