I won't say it'll never happen. But, as discussed before, I don't plan on leaving my place regardless. Not many places I can think of that are more safe anyways.
However, the great ideas posted on here have made me think.
I feel like if I, or any of the country folks (like Jim, etc) ever get in this situation, it would be in our vehicles.
Some of the video images these days are frightening and cowards tend to run in packs.
So, I've started to assemble an abbreviated bug out pack for my vehicle. Just enough stuff to help get myself or others out of harm's way. Certainly survival items like food, blankets, etc would not be needed. A good compact defense gun (large magazine capacity), extra mags and ammo, couple knives, flashlights, etc.
Amede had mentioned blankets for his area, insect repellent more useful here.
Mostly looking for ideas on stocking suggestions. Surely others have thought this out and have far better ideas than I do.
