Called this evening and told me one of these became available. Got this call before, but the supplier had made a mistake and it was an 1873. I opted out on that gun.

Supposedly, this is confirmed to be my dream gun of the 1892 20" Carbine. Guess I'll know in a few days when it arrives.

Many don't care for the tang safety. Personally, I like it just fine.

All I can find about these guns is praise. I've dealt with the Winchester/Miroku 1895s, 1885s, etc and quality is top notch. Praying this one will be too.

The Aborigines of New Guinea know how I feel about the old hyphenated cartridges. Hoping this goes well and any input or shared experience welcomed.
