Are aftermarket pistol barrels worth it?

I'm thinking of getting a drop-in aftermarket barrel for one of my Glocks. I already shoot lead in the factory Glock barrel and I still have all my fingers. As far as accuracy goes, its not a match-grade accuracy weapon anyway, or a Bullseye gun to begin with. What would I gain with a better barrel? Or should I just keep the factory pipe and spend the $ on ammo?? Appreciate the feedback.
