Actually next to the vehicle...

Later today I plan to upload some images. Right now I am busy with laundry, clean up, put away and have my weird coffee( the stuff JT and Gary would not go near)

I stayed at a campground that was loud and noisy. All of the National Forest sites were taken up ( at least that is what was stated online from their website) so I had to go to a privately run campground.

To me the forest sites would be better. Very private and you get the feel of the wilds vs a commercial campground with a lot of party people.

I just do not feel like lugging a lot of stuff even in a vehicle. I made note of what I used and did not use. Today I plan to make a list of what to take and not take for a future trip.

Also I was hunting black bear. I would get up after a long night of lying on two Z rest pads on soft ground(sarcasm there) and then making a run to get an inflatable mattress which helped out. Breakfast was coffee and some kind of pastry ( I know I shouldn't but I figure for three mornings it wouldn't kill me) then hunt all AM. Noon would be a wrap or something like it. Supper. I will confess, I ate out. Usually a salad with some kind of meat and an adult beverage.

I plan to do at least three more three day weekend hunts like this. Another trip for black bear in a spot where I found paths and poop. Another Halloween weekend for muzzleloader deer( you can use muzzleloading handguns for deer in New Hampshire and also carry a CCW firearm as well)
If I do not get a deer by then a three day modern handgun hunt for deer. ( NH allows one deer per year with a gun whether it is a muzzleloader or modern gun)

So my ideal DIY on the cheap hunt for me will be a White Mountain NF campsite for three days( I am hoping that there will be openings for late September) my one burner/propane tank cook stove, three days of meals along with something to drink.
