This is a pleasant video on powder coating

Some of the older sage's may get dismissive listening to some of the guys doing strange things or variations. It's really quite simple and this shows the basic essence of what is needed or done. It's not fancy nor requires any special equipment. I liked his attitude and a bit of an exotic accent for class never hurts.

Initially I think a lot of folks were turned off by the bright colors. Or perhaps some liked them too much! lol The first rounds popular did look a bit phallic or like lipstick. Take that for what it's worth. A good friend sent me some grey better quality powder that is worth searching out. It's very high quality and looks "normal". The powder quality does make it better, he showed me that. But I have done a bunch with the cheap Harbor freight stuff starting out.

Shooting they lead less and shoot with no smoke or exposed lead vapors since the thing is encapsulated in basically a plastic hull. It wears well and for performance basically only needs to be on the rifling bearing surface honestly.

Give it a look and consider it. No high dollar sizers needed (I paid around $300 for my Lyman 450 tool and a selection of basic dies!) the Lee kits are around $30 per caliber, no matching nose punches needed.

Truly a guy can add powder coating to his toolkit for about $65-75. (Oven, powder-*several thousand to the pound, Lee sizer) It's not a gimmick, it's likely to stay around a good while.
