you might consider is using them in repeaters. Specifically bolt actions. A gun that chambers the standard version ctg. will be very rough trying to manage the same with the case blown straight sided and a sharp shoulder. Conversely one modified to smoothly feed the Ackley might not feed the std. ctg. any more.

My 6mm Ackley has stock action feed rails. That is to day they are still for the 8x57 Mauser. It feeds the 6mm Remington very slick as that round is basically the 7x57 (whose parent is the 8x57). But you have to force it a bit with the Ackley rounds. For the single shot this matters none.

Gunsmiths that have the knowledge to alter feed rails on Mausers are getting few and far in between. Much less those who take too much off and are able to put it back on and start over. The old guys could do about anything. Also spending $200 to get a rifle to feed smooth may not be truly cost effective. No one worthy works cheap.
