I like the position of the safety much better. Personally I prefer the smaller and more traditional and smaller TT's. They did make a M57 with a "split safety trigger" like a Glock. They are hard to find though. All you do is swap the trigger to a standard one to be full mil-spec.
Roman took a NORINCO TT in 9mm and converted it back to 7.62x25. It had a magazine filler block and we had to fit a barrel and mod the ejector timing a little. They hit really hard.
