Its almost as good as the powder coating. I was experiencing a bit of leading in a Ruger GP100 44 special with standard cast bullets. Went to using the Lee Alox and now it not only shoots better but the barrel is clean. Like WB says it also works well with muzzleloader bullets, and I use it on a 50 R.E.A.L. bullet.
