bad below zero cold-- anyway I had a doe tag so at -3 or4 degrees out i go-- well here came 2 does. so i sit down hasty sling position and squeezed the trigger.... click...
reload ... click reload clicck.. by now I am calling on the name of the Lord -- and i have no more ctgs... they are all in the grass-- so now I am digging around for a .358 win round--- found one-- reload and boom.. and the deer runs off.. after all that I miss?? but no she was a little way down a hill and was very dead. The firing pin was frozen. by the way the brakes on my 4 wheeler were frozen too .. as the deer bled on the 4 wheeler-- it froze into what looked like red mud..so the farmer asked where I found the mud... not mud I said it is frozen blood.. i moved the deer and the blood poured out and it promptly froze-- the farmer told me I was nuts to be out and jogged back to the house. Me and my froze gun & deer and 4 wheeler eased back to my warm house.
