Most don't know that now those .22 RF crimped loads

are about 50 cents each! The prices have gone nuts, I guess they are quite rare now. Buy a brick if you see them cheap!! The soft brass cases were actually longer than a .22 LR loaded Ctg. when fully opened. They did tend to hand up in a chamber some since they could open up in the throat, depending on the gun.

These are custom dies that make a like crimp in the brass case (making it actually shorter) and holding in the blank powder (actually shot in this instance). Being soft brass and opening in the chamber throat with our custom full cylinder length shells they do no actual harm in the revolver.

Denning is the only nut I've ever seen with some loaded examples. lol They looked really cool. Hornady makes the die set which is a "universal" caliber tool. I just wondered if folding the brass like that cut it where the petals were folded. You cold cut the case back to useful regular ctg. length but if it was a one shot case for shot loads I'd sure not bother.

*Remember these are actually for making "Blank" cartridges.
