of the first ones and there was no ammo except that from CDM, the mexican company that made low powered junk ammo that gave the Auto Mag a bad name due to jamming. But to make it work I scrounged up some lake City Match 308 brass from a friend at Ft. Campbell and then the fun started. I had to cut each piece of brass to 1.298, then inside ream the case down a half inch to allow a 44 caliber bullet to be seated and then start the actual reloading when there was really no loading data available. It was a pain in the butt but for some silly reason I enjoyed it. Lee Jurras helped me thru some ideas on the loading data and that was part of the enjoyment too. So like John just said the long road to make it work is a large part of the fun.
