If you need,/want the trigger forward slide it forward and snap in place. I may have done the back first. This was back in the 90’s
Just do a little at a time, most of the fore/aft movement goes away after the first couple of bedding operations.
Use the clay to keep the bedding in the small areas.
Wish i was there to see it again, but you can add bedding over bedding.
My sks was russian, made in 1954, and was pretty nice. The bedding and clay dams took quite a few days, my sons thought i was crazy even back then. If the bedding goes where you don’t want it, you have to grind it off or file it. Mine may have had some bedding on the bottom latch at the rear.
