in today's professional workplace safety procedures. OSHA knows best right?! Thankfully in our state my industry is not literally dictated by OSHA procedures but we have a State Dept. mediator. I've seen three inspectors in 36 years. If you are directly involved in OSHA compliance it will effect your perspective, you can't help it.

At work we do have a written safety program and protocol that is followed. It does have mostly practical safe practices since we have such a varied array of ages, intellect, and personalities to corral into a workforce. Ditto for the Military branches. I'm actually responsible for the monkey that is in charge of our safety program. We get a big discount on our insurance for the organized and maintained program. I follow it at work too. I have to set an example. Oddly Safety program managers Nationally have an astonishing poor personal safety record overall. They are very prone to mishaps and broken bones. That is interesting. Karma?

At home I use my knowledge accumulated over some 57 years and my increasing sense of self preservation and disdain for pain and Dr. visits. However in my younger years I have done some less than healthful things like casting in the house. But I did not do it all that much, just learning. But my generation was the one raised in high lead exposure and chewing on lead paint window sills. Folks make millions mitigating lead exposure and it seems as much of the initial testing may have been skewed for financial and regulatory gain. It's common knowledge that waterfowl poisoning was a total sham, yet we still have it and more. If that bristles you try to do your own objective research, then prove me wrong if you feel the need.

As GNR said no one gets out alive. Your last day, whenever that is, you will have memories and regrets, if you are blessed.
