I love the cartridge and think it's likely one of Gary's very best. The 14" baked barrel makes a HUGE fireball with H322. But easily punts the 120 gr. at 2400 fps.
I had a 10" .280 GNR once. It would not go much faster but it was very accurate.
I guess a 10" would be the same as a 12" braked set-up so maybe 80-100 fps (4-5%) down for the same load.
