to see if the project would be worthy of pursuing. The guns exhibit outstanding design quality. I love the octagon flats on the barrel. It's pretty chunky, hefty too. The recoil is flippy much like the mid-grip XP100. It would be a worthy candidate for the 4-port Mag-na-porting. I got it at a favorable price so it helps with the potential customizing budget.

We like it. But it needs rechambering. The 7x30 waters will not clean up the existing 7mm International chamber, not quite. The 7mm GNR would be a peach. It might even work with the 7x57R. That might be fun and a bit exotic, never had one of those.

Besides the very fine priss a Reederization can afford I need a good steel scope base, with somewhat removable capability, mounted on the barrel flat just ahead of the front sight. This would allow use of the irons too. Plus the aforementioned change of cartridge rechamber. I have a Burris 2-7x I think I may be able to get rebuilt to use.

I don't like the looks of this mount but sort of what I was thinking as to scope base positioning. The extra weight would also help with recoil flip.
