this one is chambered for what is basically a .30-30 necked to 7mm (.284").
I really need a "rimmed" round for this application. The .25-35 necked up looked like it might work well and be easy but the one I tried split. Maybe if I annealed it after necking and before fire forming.
I think it is currently 200-300 fps under it's potential compared to the 7mm GNR. 120 at 2300 fps would be groovy. The 140 at 2200+ over the top.
The overall desire is to make a handy, compact, and unique 200 yd. deer size game hunting handgun.
Out of 10 made from old fired cases thee failed. I had overworked them.
