Than the old 250 Ackley Improved necked up .007". P.O. Ackley himself said it was his best creation. No small endorsement in itself.

I like everything on the 308 Case except the 243 Winchester. I just can't learn to like it. The 25-08 (aka 25 Souper) never got the recognition it deserved. The gun writers gave the 25s the axe when the 6mms were new. Gotta sell more guns.

The 7mm-08 was my first Encore and I learned to love it. It's excellent ina handgun or rifle. Today, I don't own one. I do have a 7x57 Mauser and two 275 Rigbys.
