I grind flats on the sides of that impossible little Phillips head screw and pinch the piss out of it with Vice-grips! LOL. It is a "self" tapping bushed screw and is deeply drilled to begin. The only issue is if you go too much and get into the pins holding the handles. You have to shorten those and peen them to stay below the sprue plate sliding above them. But you have to really go crazy shortening them to get to that point.
