A while back I bought my first Colt SAA Bisley

this ignited a suppressed passion in Doug but unable to find a COlt that struck his fancy, at a buy, he has wandered off into the realm of Great Westerns. Not a bad place to be really.

This example is my favorite of his pair. It's a cased frame 5.5" that has seen honest carry and use. The front sight has been regulated and the rear opened up to be useful. Action work is obvious with a thumbing of the hammer. It's a .38 Special cal.

Alas our fun was cut short with a broken trigger/bolt spring. A common malfunction with the SAA, $10 fix. Last time I bought one I bought a "wire" stock modernized version to replace my broken flat spring on some clone I had. These are made by Wolff. It seemed to work great. Anyone have experience and know of a downside? I need to order a 3-pack.

The .38, like the .32 has lots of meat left in the cylinder and bore, compared to a .45. You can feel it.
