$500+ Italian clones, the $600-800 GW might just be a bargain. The "O" prefix serials were kit guns? They always seem to have a very heavy drag line on the cylinders. I'd mirror polish the bolt first off for sure.

The two examples Doug conjured up, a .44 Magnum and .38 Special are really nice case frame guns. My .44 was a bit loose before Harton reworked it. That boy sure can weld! I'd have to say I'll keep an eye out for another. I have a cheaper version of the Hawes full size .22 RF (cheaply made with liners) but the steel GW guns look OK to me.
