them a lot. So I don't really worry too much about the buffers wearing out. It takes about 2000 rounds to wear out a buffer on a 1911 with hot loads. The PD should do as well but I doubt very much I have shot 2000 rounds in either of my 3 PDs. I have only had them since 1985 or so, (give or take) so that is roughly 35 years. 2000 rounds in 35 years works out to 55 rounds a year (or so). That sounds about right.
